Goals/Objectives

This page includes the specific goals a student will be working on over the next year. Each goal has at least two specific objectives related to the overall goal. Each quarter teachers (ideally) post data on how the student is progressing towards their goals and objectives included with the school report card.


Don't Forget:

  • Each goal must be measurable. A student's current level of performance must be described either in the goal or in the PLAAFP statement. The student's expected ending level of performance must be written in the goal statement

  • Terms such as "age-appropriate" and "grade-level" are not measurable unless the IEP clearly describes what is meant by these terms

  • As each year's IEP goal is being built, think about what special education services will be necessary for the student to achieve that goal
